In a vibrant celebration of growth, unity, and shared success, Perituza proudly hosted its first-ever Team Summit at the scenic Cinnamon Lakeside in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The three-day event brought together team members from the United States, India, and Sri Lanka to reflect on the company’s 2022 achievements and lay the foundation for an exciting journey ahead.
The Summit began with a warm traditional Sri Lankan welcome – complete with flower garlands, betel leaf bouquets, and cultural dance performances – setting the tone for the days ahead. Co-founders Asanka Kamburugamuwe and Yuka LaTulippe delivered inspiring opening remarks, sharing heartfelt reflections on the company’s journey, the values that unite the team, and the “family-first” culture that has defined Perituza since its inception.
A highlight of the opening evening was the team appreciation ceremony, where long-serving members Lakmal Silva and Rajitha Fernando were honored for their exceptional dedication over the past eight years.
In keeping with the creative and celebratory spirit, the team enjoyed a surprise art class – an opportunity to relax, explore creativity, and bond in a new way. Later that night, everyone gathered for a formal banquet at the iconic Gallery Cafe, renowned for its blend of contemporary cuisine and artistic ambiance.
Giving Back to the Community
As part of the Summit’s commitment to making a meaningful impact beyond the workplace, Perituza organized a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) event at Pohoddaramulla Primary School in Wadduwa, through the Perituza Foundation.
The initiative brought together Perituza team members and their families from the U.S., Sri Lanka, and India for a day dedicated to education, health, and sustainability. A newly constructed handwashing station was unveiled – an essential addition to support student hygiene and encourage lifelong healthy habits. Each student received a school supply kit to help them on their educational journey, and lunch and snacks were served to all 270 students, teachers, and staff.
The day was filled with joy, learning, and connection – featuring interactive activities, engaging events, and a tree-planting activity to enhance the school grounds and inspire environmental stewardship among students.
Being part of this CSR event was truly rewarding – seeing the children’s smiles and knowing we made a difference in their lives was an unforgettable experience.

The Summit concluded with an unforgettable evening aboard the 8° Degrees Cruise Restaurant on Lake Beira, where laughter, dancing, and cultural celebrations marked the end of a truly remarkable gathering.
