As part of its ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility, Perituza recently completed a transformative renovation project at Sri Sudarshana Primary School in Piliyandala, Sri Lanka. The initiative, led by Perituza’s Early Careers Team, revitalized an open-air classroom, turning it into a vibrant and welcoming learning space for the students.
This school holds special meaning for the team, as it had been the primary school of one of our own team members, Upuli W. The project included installing interlock paving blocks to replace the previously uneven and muddy surface, making the area safer and more comfortable, especially since it is also used as the pickup point for parents. The team also repainted desks, chairs, and parts of the space to brighten the environment. After two months of planning, the renovation was completed in a single day to minimize disruption.
Following the renovation, Perituza’s team hosted an engaging art class for the students, creating joyful and memorable moments.

The renovated open-air classroom now provides a vibrant and comfortable setting for learning and play, encouraging creativity and interaction beyond the traditional classroom. This initiative is one of many through which Perituza continues to demonstrate its dedication to making a positive impact beyond business.
The project was conducted through the Perituza Foundation, Perituza’s nonprofit affiliate dedicated to community development and education. By upgrading this key learning area, Perituza aims to inspire children to embrace their education and reach their full potential in a nurturing, supportive space.
