Perituza recently conducted a dynamic workshop for over 270 freshman students from the Faculty of Computing and Technology at the University of Kelaniya, as part of their official orientation program.
This engaging session, delivered under our Industry Readiness Program, aimed to equip students with the tools, mindset, and guidance they need to navigate their journey toward professional success in the tech industry.
Our passionate team facilitated the workshop by sparking meaningful conversations around career readiness. The session focused on industry expectations, essential soft skills, and practical strategies to help students excel in their professional journeys from the very start.
It was a great opportunity to share my experience with young undergraduates, helping them prepare for the future.

Following the discussion, the atmosphere shifted into high-energy mode with an interactive team-building activity that challenged students to construct a stable straw house while adhering to specific guidelines. This exercise encouraged creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking – skills that are essential in the real world. Winning teams were rewarded, adding an extra spark to the session.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the University of Kelaniya for inviting us to be part of this meaningful initiative. It was truly an incredible experience to connect with Sri Lanka’s next generation of IT professionals and play a small role in their growth journey.
